Newlsetters
Autumn 2014
Hello everybody and welcome to your sizzling newsletter. We hope that you all enjoyed the beautiful weather we’ve experienced this summer.
Allo Allo
Rehearsals are now well underway for Allo Allo directed by Alison Langrick; this is an ambitious production and requires a large cast so we have been lucky in attracting more new members so please say hello to James Hunt, Jurgen Strack, Jane McDonald, Stuart Lyons, Sarah Wilkinson and Carol James. We are also pleased to cast Ella Radney who has supported the group for some time but now has the chance to step in to the spotlight. Reharsals are going very well and there is a great spirit amongst the company. Allo Allo will be taking to the stage on the 27, 28, 29 November and the 5th 6th December and tickets will be on sale in September from Kibworth Post Office and Kibworth DIY.
Murder Mysteries
Following the successful production of Death at the Flying Pizza at Boboli’s in February the group has performed it twice more; once in Peatling Parva and once in Markfield. The above picture shows Inspector Shirley Holmes (Alison Langrick) interrogating Ice Maiden Samantha Hanley (Jo Elliott). Vincenti Bombadini (Stuart Weston) has now been murdered three times (not enough some might say) so we thought we’d give Death at the Flying Pizza a rest now and have just performed Deadly Deeds at Little Dibworth written by Rosanne Lane at St Wilfrid’s Church Hall Club on the 27th September to help raise funds for Harvey Wright and Thomas Hunt’s trip to the World Scout Jamboree in Japan next year. Deadly Deeds will then get a second run out on October 17th for Medbourne Tennis Club.
Summer 2015 Production
We have booked the Grammar School Hall for a production in June of next year; hopefully moving it from the May slot will mean we won’t clash with other local groups. Rosanne Lane will be directing and is currently looking for a suitable play with Noel Coward’s Relative Values a strong front runner. If you have any suggestions for something you would like us to consider then please contact us.
In Other News
Congratulations to Martyn Wyburn and the cast of Blithe Spirit who won the District 6B South Leicestershire and Leicester NODA Drama Award; a thoroughly deserved victory.
Please spare a thought for John Ingall who has had to drop out of Allo Allo due to illness.
Until next time.
Best wishes
